Since then, she has dedicated herself to coaching and developing young athletes at both the club and school levels. She has held coaching roles at John Barsby Secondary School and NDSS, contributing to a 4th-place Provincial finish in 2021, and has coached athletes across all levels within the Mariners program—from Grade 3 to Senior Girls—playing a key role in the club’s youth development initiatives.
Elise has also worked with Volleyball BC, coaching youth development programs and serving as both a head and assistant coach in the Volleyball BC Regional program, in addition to leading the BC Summer Games Island Beach team, demonstrating her versatility and leadership across indoor and beach volleyball.
Off the court, Elise is an elementary school teacher in the Nanaimo Ladysmith School District, bringing the same care, structure, and mentorship to her professional life as she does to volleyball. Her approach emphasizes athlete growth, confidence, and holistic development, making her a trusted mentor to players, parents, and coaching peers alike.
