WHAT IS CLUB VOLLEYBALL?
Club Volleyball provides opportunities for players and coaches to train and compete in amateur volleyball beyond the school season. The BC club season runs from January to May, with many clubs hosting try outs in mid-November to mid-December.
Mariners Volleyball Club teams will train as teams and will compete in Volleyball BC events throughout BC during the indoor club season. MVC runs competitive club programs for boys and girls ages 14-18. Club tryouts are typically held across a number of weeks from the middle of November to early December depending on the age category and the Volleyball BC season of play dates.
Club teams are competitive programs and only a certain number of travelling teams will form, which means not all athletes will make a competitive club team. Each travelling team roster will carry a maximum of 12 athletes. Athletes that tryout for 14U girls and 15/16U girls competitive club teams, but do not make the traveling club teams, will be given first priority to register for MVC house league programs. If spots remain in the house league program, registration will then be made available to the general public.
